Re: snails eating fry



I have to disagree with the statement that small snails won't eat fry. 
I've seen them run over the top of small, fresh hatched fry (these may
have been belly sliders, which would usually be culled any way) but I
have seen it.  I wouldn't be to worried about it, as I have not seen them
able to catch fry that are able to hover and dart about their container
quickly. Just that it is possible.
    I use (if I do) the baby sized pond or ramshorn in fry containers,
when they get to large I feed them to other fish and there is always a
supply of small ones in a planted tank somewhere.
