fishroom temp 'survey'
Hello everyone,
I'm just wondering about what temperatures the Aphyosemion keepers on
the list keep their tanks/fishrooms at. I'm a partisan of cool water,
with a winter range of 17 to 19, but just because I've always done it
that way doesn't mean it's the only good way. I would like to hear from
at least a few people to see what everyone else is doing.
Part of my motivation is my perception that my elberti don't give me
eggs above 21C. I was recently speaking to Monty Lehmann, who has great
sucess with these fish at much higher temperatures. It's made me think -
should we be simply avoiding fluctuations in temperature and letting the
fish adapt to our conditions, or should we fool around with looking for
an optimal temperature?
