Not all livebearers have a clear and distinct Gonopodium, Celebes half beaks
for example and X. Captivus are just two examples that I have in my tanks, the
males can be distinguished by color but the anal fin on the males looks no
different than the females and no Gonopodium is visible to the eye. Only when
it is being utilized for its intended purposes can it be distinguished.
