Liddles(sp?) made some good comments about the cons of central filtration. A
sterilization  protocol ( U.V. sterilizer, Ozone reactor etc.) is essential as
well as plumbing to isolate tanks as needed.

Vannerson also made good points about the limitations of plywood tanks with
divisions. In my opinion, plywood tanks are great for big tanks. I would not
put any dividers in them. The old Instant Ocean Hatchery used plywood tanks
that were divided this way. It worked for them, but I don't think you see
successor commercial marine hatcheries going that route. If you do subdivide
tanks, I would do it with removeable partitions.
