Tank ideas wanted.
Due to my job I am at Wal Mart all the time. About once a week I go to the
fish and look and see what they have. I have been admiring the custom made
tanks the new Super Center has for a while now. I keep thinking that one of
those would sure make a nice addition to a fish room. I am guessing that the
tanks are 10 to 15 gallons and if I remember right there is 4 tanks per row
with 3 rows.
Then I got to thinking that it might not be to hard to build a wooden
version? Using of course a glass front. Install a central wet/dry filter
system and use overflows for the returns. You would also have the option to
make the tanks any length you wanted. Maybe one long one on bottom for a
planted river tank. Divide one row into 5 gallons to raise Killies, and a
couple of larger ones or what ever. The combinations could be tailored to
your needs. Lighting could be economical 4 foot shop lights behind a flip up
panel
I am going to build a large tank soon anyway. Granted this would be more
work to build than a large single tank. Lighting could be economical 4 foot
shop lights behind a flip up panel. Any thoughts or ideas on this? (Not so
much on construction methods, I know how to build it)
