How "micro" is your Daphnia? If it is about 1.0 - 1.2 millimeter, it
*could* be Ceriodaphnia dubia. EPA uses them for toxicity testing, so
they are available.

In my hands they are *very* sensitive to changes in water parameters, so
I drip in fresh water. EPA recommends as food a Ceraphyl (sp?), trout
chow & yeast medium, but they can get used to just yeast.

Should it be something else, I would be very interested to learn
something about it!
