Hi group,
I think I could do with some advice. Six weeks ago I purchased a pound sack
of " Frontier Brand Active Dry Yeast" for $4.29 from the Natural Health
Foods store.
That is all the package sez, Active Dry Yeast. So what did I buy?
I also have a 4 ounce bottle I got from a local food store for $7.25, It
sez Fleischmann's Bread Machine All Natural Yeast. Nothing about "active"
or live. They both make my micro worms/gringle worms and fruit fly cultures
produce bubbles and smell like alcohol. The 2 yeasts give all the cultures
the expected spark and help grow the food cultures. I can't tell the
performance of the two apart from the culture stand point.
So, what have I got? and don't say "too much time on my hands"
