Re:Dark Morphs
I have a bunch of GAR Akure that are fed a diet that includes high ammounts
of spirulina and Astaxanthin. These fish are very dark and all most look
black -brown rather than metalic blue/green. They were much lighter
before feeding them the dry food with the color enhancers. I was hoping to
enhance the red spots, blue body, and yellow fins. All in all makes for
some intresting ideas in terms of feed additives to enhance color. I feed
the same stuf to my orange australes and they look dynamite. I know many
people that make their own prepared food add paprika or carrots to add
carotnoid pigments. Anyone got some ideas as how to enhance blue, or
irridescent colorations.
