Hi Neil,
Some of my students did a project attemtping to find a good ratio of
food, yeast, and mixing techniques on microworms, it was cheap, easy and
could be done in several weeks.  
the same thing could be done for Vinegar eels, we will do those this
year.  I have heard ratios of 1:1 down to 20:1  water:vinegar.  would be
interesting, some people use apple and some dont, this would also be
interesting. My VE cultures start slowly so this might take severla
months.
