Re Crosses

Whilst I would agree with crossing for scientific purposes,

I could never condone the hobbiest who practices this just

to experiment to see what he/she gets.

To many fish we see in the UK pet stores are the results

of crossing, E.G. Angels, Discus, Barbs, Guppies ETC,

it seems to me this is done for profit reasons only and

to hell with keeping fish as nature intended!!!

As a B.K.A. member, this associations policy, as any

other caring group, actively discourages this practice.

I used to be a shooting man, who bred, trained and

worked Labradors, I would never have crossed a pure

bred pedigree dog with say a Collie, Alsation, Doberman

ETC, so why do it with fish.

I am well known to speak my mind, so if this note causes

any offence, I would deem the recipient, as a person not

fit to participate in our hobby.
