> Reguarding Julian's problem with whitespot, We use to give marine fish freshwater baths when they had protozoan infections. I have also, had
good results doing the oppisite with freshwater fishes by giving them
baths in marinewater. What this does is it has an osmoitic effect on the
protozoians encasement and busts them. However you must treat the
aquarium for free swimming protozoans. A good product is
metronidazole,Seachem makes it available to hobbiests. Also, you can use
your dyes. But remember to do regular water changes on the treated tank
and remove carbon if you use a filter. :) Bob
