Subject: Breeding
Hi everyone,
I have a pair of Aplocheilus lineatus (Gold). One male and one female. I have
been trying to breed them for quite a long time now. I know that there are
living and that they aren't going to do exactly what I want them to do but I
was wondering if any one had any suggestions.>>
My lineatus, both gold and regular color, respond well to water changes (50%
or more) and feeding tubifex worms. They are reluctant to lay eggs unless this
combination is used. Other live foods also help but none as dramatic as
tubifex worms. The question then is: "why not do that all the time?" The
answer is "I can't get enough time nor tubifex to do it for all the fish all
the time".
