Setting up a voluntary registry of species maintained by individual members
would not be a problem, at least as far as space is concerned. If it is to
be done, I would rather set it up such that the individuals could log on
and enter species kept or edit the list themselves. This is simply a matter
of setting up a database. However, I would want to set up password
protection to protect against unauthorized alteration. It will take me a
little effort to work this out. I will play with it over the coming week or
so and put up a model that folks can comment on.
