Re: Species maintenance list

A list of what species that are held by the members are compiled once a
year in the killifish associations in Europe. (At least I'm sure the SKS
and DKG do it). The association sends out a paper form for the members
to fill out, and the result is compiled and sent to all members. Not
everybody takes the time to fill out the form but the species list still
is a valuable source of information if you need contact with someone
with experience from a species, even though the list is not complete.

This works very well in Europe, and is very useful so I don't see why it
shouldn't work in the AKA. The goal is of course that each and every
member fills out the form, but if only 20% does it, it's still better
than no information at all, and you have to start somewhere...

If this should be done on the internet or on paper I don't know. Maybe
both? A printed version once a year where the results of a questionaire
is compiled, as done in Europe, and a more dynamic version on the
internet where each member can update his/her current fishlist whenever
they want.

Just some Swedish thoughts
