Know any good Killie Books? -Reply
Greetings!
I'm surprised that Scott Davis hasn't replied to this post yet. He must
have gone to bed early this morning (before 5:00 a.m. our time) <VBG>.
Scott has replied to this type of question before and I'm sure he will pass
on his comments. In fact, Scott, I hope you have saved that text as a
"boilerplate." We could add it to the web site as a permanent reference.
There is also a review written by Oleg Kiselev and Thuan Nguyen that's
on the web at http://www.killi.net/books.html.
For beginners, Ed Warner's book "Success With Killifish" is a standard
recommendation. The books are available directly through Ed. You can
preview the first couple of chapters on our club's web site at
http://www.aka.org/aka/clubs/clubpages/ChiKA/library/library.htm
It doesn't get into a lot of specific species but it does gives a very
"common sense" approach to keeping and breeding killies.
