Optimal temps
Hi all
Has ant one done any research on how temp affects egg production in
nothos?
I have 2 pairs of yellow x red hybrid KOR in a 20cm tank on top of my
fish tank cabinet with out a heater. The 2 pairs are seperated by a
piece of glass.
Over the last 4 weeks I have been line breeding them to fix the red
strain and have been harvesting largely different numbers of eggs
from each pair. I have harvested twice. Both time the one pair has
yielded 27 eggs and the other pair has yielded 80 and 130 eggs.
They are fed the same, the females are of similar decent and size.
The only diff. is a 2 deg C diff between the 2 segments of the tank.
The tank is 18->20 to 20->22 deg. C.
Any thoughts?
