to do it on a trial basis.<<
Okay. Let's think this through a bit.
Let's say that an announcement is made in the BNL that the F&E listing in
the NEXT issue would be posted to the killie lists as a test. Advertising
members with email would list their email address in the ad. Those
without would have their normal snail mail and phone number listed.
Everyone that lists tat month would be sent a tracking form/questionnaire
to monitor the incoming calls/mail/email. The form could track the
following for each sale:
1. Source; print or electronic BNL
2. Reply media; Phone, mail or email
3. # of pairs sold
4. AKA Membership status of buyer; Yes or No
Additionally the questionnaire would allow for:
5. Seller's I-Net Status; No PC, PC w/o I-net, PC w/I-net
6. Seller's comments
7: Seller's Name (Optional)
This is intentionally a short list. Anything longer would be troublesome
for the seller.
The BOT would then have some factual information from which a
decision could be made.
Bill's Hypothesis:
My guess would be that the sellers would all welcome the added market
and would insist that the test become part of the regular production
ASAP.
I think a single issue test is worth a try and will not cause the downfall of
the AKA. I'd be willing to develop the form/questionnaire and compile the
results. (Although I'm sure we'd have to hire an independent auditor
<smirk>).
Or I could be wrong (that has happened once before <g>)
Anyone from the BOT listening?
