Lepto minimus

At the convention this year I bought a bag of peat labled Lepto mininus. I
have been serching for information on the genus. Killie Data list only
Leptolucanie ommata from the Okefenokee. 

I bought the eggs only because I knew nothing about them I had a good
hatch and have quite a few fry now large enough to eat baby brine shrimp.

Can anyone tell me anything more about the genus, is it an annual as
I assumed when I bought the bag of peat. I was not aware of any annuals
in the US.
