Cyprinodon variegatus.

I was visiting the Riverhead Aquarium (Long Island NY) a few weeks back and
they have a small exhibit containing Cyprinodon Variegatus. The caption
under the display indicates that this fish changes sex with age. Starting
life as a female and ending up as a male. Can anyone confirm this. I
realize that sex change in fish is not all that uncommon and that many
marine fish change sex according to dominance within a group. If
Cyprinodons are in fact capable of changing from female to male is this a
factor of age or dominance?
