N. albimarginatus Kiparanganda TAN 97/40 was collected by Watters,
Wildekamp and Cooper in June 1997 in Tanzania. It is a little smaller than
many other Nothos. It is fairly straightforward to breed, using standard
techniques. The fry should hatch after about 3 months incubation. They are
smallish too, so use of very freshly hatched artemia is recommended. As
Harry Specht pointed out, it is useful to collect the very first hatched
nauplii for feeding the smaller fry. I often strain off the newly hatched
nauplii, rinse them into a cup of water, and let the unhatched cysts sink.
I then draw off the newly hatched nauplii with a baster, and return the
unhatched ones to the hatcher. I use the Chlorox method to decapsulate the
cysts, so if a few unhatched ones get into the fry container, they probably
will be eaten, or at least don't do any harm.

This fish is pictured in the latest DKG journal where the first description
of the species appears. We hope to put some of these new species up on the
AKA web site soon.
