I agree with Barry here. Just throw a clump of Java moss in the tank so the
females have a place to hide.

I may have mentioned this before but I always hatch the fry in a shoebox and
remove the fry with an eyedropper to another shoebox that has been set up
for a while. In this shoebox is another clump of Java Moss and some Ramshorn
snails. Both of these provide microorganisms for the small fry to feed upon.
I don't count the fry I remove from the hatching container(probably should)
but I don't seem to lose all that many fry using the above method. I just
begin feeding brine shrimp napuli. If you have some San Francico Bay brand
eggs you might want to use these for the resulting napuli are smaller than
Great Salt Lake eggs.
