Ap. Lineatus Gold Origin

Did anyone resolve the question of the origin of the Ap. Lineatus gold color
morph?  I would swear when I first obtained and researched this species, I
read about a naturally occuring color morph sport that was propogated by the
aquarist who made the find.  Unfortunately, I can't seem to lay a hand on
the article I originally read, and now I'm afraid I imagined it.

While I'm trying to be a purist, I admit I've fallen in love with this
little, golden, pike look-a-like, and I'll probably continue to breed them,
even if they turn out to be an aquarist hybrid, rather than a naturally
occuring sport.  However, if anyone can point me to articles on their
origin, I'd be most grateful, just to set my mind at rest.  I've hunted back
issues of Killienotes, but apparently, I don't have the right issues.  My
references at home don't seem to touch on it either.
