The golden form of Aplocheilus lineatus only appeared relatively recently
and only became commonly available around 1996, so if your book pre-dates
this then that'll explain why it isn't listed.

I'd suggest Shivan5952 follow Bill Vannersons advice and check the AKA
web page for a start to see which fish more closely resembles the one
in question. Alternatively, almost any book on killies (and even many
general aquarium books) will show pictures of both these species since
both have been in the hobby for many years (albeit, in the case of Ap.
lineatus, as the natural form).

Check the NZKA web page at http://nzka.killi.net for pictures of both
species, BTW.

Personally, having seen 'The Golden Killie' in various shops in various
parts of the world over the last two years, I'd go with it being the
gold form of Ap. lineatus.

Just my thoughs.
