This is a hoax message. It is not possible for an email message to erase a
hard disk. The only way a virus could be passed on via email is as a macro
virus in a Word document (for example) or as an executable attachment. That
is, you would have to actually run a program that someone had passed onto
you. I suggest everyone ignores these types of message. They appear
regularly on various mail lists.
