I am confused ! Do these two statements contradict one another or am
I misinterpreting them ?

I am forwarding the above message, which bounced, and answering it in one fell
swoop. The change in killietalk has been made, and Mark Rosenstein has
posted a message to this list telling everyone about the change. We all owe
Mark a vote of thanks for his support of the AKA and its email list. I will
reiterate what has happened here, to make sure things are clear (I hope).

Mark has changed the configuration of the list such that subscribers can
choose between the digest format and the single message format. We did this
because there were obviously strong feeling about each format, running
about 50:50 for (and against) each. To do this two separate lists have been
created. One is killietalk-digest at aka_org, which is sent out once a day.
The other is killietalk at aka_org, which is sent out as single messages as
they arrive. When a message arrives, it is sent out immediately to
subscribers to killietalk and also "archived" for killietalk-digest, which
is sent out later as a batch.

As all current subscribers initially were on a digest format, Mark moved
them all to the new digest format, killietalk-digest. Therefore, IF YOU
WISH TO CONTINUE RECEIVING KILLIETALK AS A DIGEST, DO NOTHING. If you wish
to switch to the single message format, send a message to majordomo at aka_org
with the following in the body (no subject is necessary):

unsubscribe killietalk-digest at aka_org
subscribe killietalk at aka_org

The first line will remove you from the digest format, and the second line
will immediately resub you to the (new) single message format. You will
receive an acknowledgement from majordomo. I should also point out, to
avoid confusion, that majordomo at aka_org is essentially the same thing as
majordomo at actwin_com. The list is actually administered by Mark at Active
Windows (ie. actwin.com) but we have the name servers set up to allow
majordomo at aka_org, killietalk at aka_org and killietalk-digest at aka_org to
function appropriately.

YOU SHOULD CONTINUE TO SEND MESSAGES TO KILLIETALK at AKA_ORG.

Please feel free to email me directly if you need further clarification.
Again, thanks to Mark for his cooperation.
