Re: digest vs individual
Group,
This is the most difficult of all the mail systems I deal with (several
dozen)...the primary reason it is slow and cumbersome is the individuals
responding to the list don't change the subject line when responding
forcing the reader to browse each message...iteresting or not...are you
really responding to:
KillieTalk Digest V2 #245
...or are you responding to a subject heading within that digest? Really
now, a little more care and there would be fewer complaints.
However, digest forms are generally more difficult to read even when
people take the time to respond propoerly because you have to scroll
through other subjects which you have no interest in to get to the one
or two which are. The theory/advantage to this list being a digest is
that all the killi mail is bunched together...then again, most of us
probably subscribe to the other list also and it sends it's mail in
singular fashion already...so add the half dozen responses from this
list and it's really no big deal...and because nearly all of the
messages are cross posted (an entirely different subject line) you would
just have to read the same messages twice.
I always seem to start with two cents, inflation makes it looks like
four yet feel like one.
Take care,
Jim
