Well I want to echo something that Carl D. Cravens said. I too am interested
in Killies and also Native fish. I joined this list hoping to learn some
more about Killies. At this time I don't have any killies and I still don't
know where to find any! I don't want to join the AKA at this time. Once I
make that plunge and try raising some and find that I really enjoy it then I
would probably want to join. The biggest problem for someone like me is
finding fish. I dont know of any clubs in our area. I found one persons
e-mail that is near me listed. He never answered me. This can be and has
been at times very discouraging.
If folks new to Killies can't find fish then they will find something else
that interest them. If the AKA doesn't want to offer the fish and egg list
to the public then maybe there is something else they could do. What about
setting a web page for folks to list their fish/eggs on that is public?
Anyone posting there would know that is was available to non-AKA members.
Maybe offer the same list on paper and mail it to those that ask? I think
this or something like this would increase the number of new members. They
could also post to this list or create another one just for that.
I much prefer the Digest! I am on two other lists that are not digest and if
they offered that way I would much prefer it. I was on another list once
that was offered as a digest or individual. If that could be done then folks
could have it either way!
Since the posts are archived then are they not available by thread on the
Archive site?
