I drove down I-81 from Canada last Friday and it was slow in northern PA due
to construction. But, not as slow as the lower end of my trip - I-476 (The
Blue Route) was a parking lot from the PA turnpike to I-95. I got off and came
home the back way. i suspect that an early Friday going north may be OK- I
hope so because that's what we're doing. By-passing I-81 by route 11 is an
option,but usually not as fast as waiting out the narrowing down by
construction. Going north the previous Sunday was OK - the work crews were not
working.
