Gradually my foot! I dropped an alkaseltzer into a 5 gallon bucket with
a HUGE oscar and he was dead within 30 seconds. There was a hellofalotof
thrashing around for the first 20 seconds (seemed like a hour). It was
so tramatizing (to ME) I can still hear it (in my head) 17 years after
doing it. Quick - YES. Humane - probably. But man was it gross!
