Re: [Killietalk] Newsgroup and Forums

Already done Tim:

As suggested, I have created a Yahoo Group called KillieFolks for those
who care to use it. It is open to anyone for general killifish
discussions. It will be moderated and will not tolerate flaming. Since
the BOD has voted to close Killietalk sometime in the near future, this
give us a viable alternative.

To join, click on the link below my signature.

Take Care......Scotty

Subject: Re: [Killietalk] Newsgroup and Forums

Their is nothing stopping anyone starting up a new newsgroup & using this for the the sort of discussions seen on Killietalk. It takes a couple of minutes to set up.
Of course it would need people to join in to make it work & this lack of response kills off newsgroups. Maybe those interested could start it off & advertise it on Killietalk while it's still online.
Maybe the AKA could keep Killietalk going until members were weaned onto the new group.
This would satisfy those not liking the forum arrangement.
