Re: [Killietalk] Tank Divider

I have in the past used that quilting fabric for dividers and was never really satisfied with it. It always seemed to be a little on the wobbly side and I have always been sort of a worry wort about something squeezing from one side to the other. If you have two similar types of fish divided by this stuff that could be a disaster. I like glass. No way to get around it once it is siliconed in place. But what ever you do use , keeping a tight lid on the whole tank is a must. Remember it is just a short jump from one side to the other. No big deal for most killies.

Just out of curiousity, what size tank did you need a divider for and
why the need for a divider?

If you're using a 10 gallon tank and putting a divider in there for
purposes of having 2 five gallon tanks for breeding setups... i would
agree with Al.. go get some glass cut and silicon it in place and make a
permanent divider. I have done this in the past to make seperate
sections for my Bettas....

That quilt material with different size holes works well also. cuts to
size and can be siliconed in place or held in place with suction cups...
