Hey Frans!

People often have their own photos. The results for several nationals are up now. Go to the AKA home page. Scroll down the left hand side to News & Events, click on conventions. I was delighted to see quite a number of the recent convention results listed again.

Diane Brown has been taking some great photos of convention fish at a couple of conventions. She has graciously posted them at http://www.pbase.com/debunix/fishy and at

Images of the 2009 convention, fish or human participants may come up. There's a recuperation and regrouping period after most show. That is longer after the nationals.

Heck, I've still got some people shots (squirreled away now) of the 1999 convention that never got posted. Still waiting for returned local phone calls and e-mail. ;) Used to know the names of almost everyone in them.

Mike Britton's image on Patrick's site give a nice overview of the festivities. They would be even more of interest and value if those pictured were identified. It is a nice way to applauded those doing the work and and a great way to thank those who attended for doing so. For the rest of us, it is neat to see images of those we've never met, but have heard of.

I'm sure that Mike and Patrick could name a number of those in the images. If Patrick was willing to caption the shots perhaps visitors, others could offer IDs. If he didn't happen to know who was in image DSC_15191 it portrays Mary Jo Bazeley telling Dick Martino one of her favorite fish stories. Or DSC_15221 looks like Rick Ivik is unpacking a bunch of terrific WAKO raised killies, including his own splendid Ep. species Massana.
