[Killietalk] My First Spawned Notho... IT'S ALIVE! IT'S ALIVE!!!
Hi Frans,
maybe i'm not quite getting your meaning either,
if you are planning on trying to breed two different
locations of a species, i am sure you already know
that they should be designated as "AS" or aquarium stain
i can almost understand people wanting to do this to hold
onto a specie that they only have a mixed pair of left.
but i think you will find that people would be willing
to supply you with the other half of your pair if they
have them available.
when i browse aquabid, i always opt for the species with
location codes as opposed to aquarium strain. to me it
makes them more desirable. so as a practical matter i
would think that maintaining the locations makes more
sense if you are thinking of offering them for sale.
as far as trying to breed two different species together...
these aren't cichlids, i doubt you will come up with
a 'flowerhorn' killie.
but again, practically speaking, if you become known as
'that guy with the frankenstein fish' i think the circle
of folks that would be willing to trade with you would shrink.
just my opinion.
hope you are enjoying keeping and breeding killies!
regards,
kevin
