[Killietalk] Killietalk: inbreeding and desirable characteristics
i suppose it's best to find pictures of a location to
compare our fish to...
one person's unsightly freak is anothers prized breeder.
rams aren't killies but i ordered some plain old rams once
and got balloon rams. the company i got them from didn't see
a problem "you wanted rams, you got rams".
to me they were culls.
the fry i hatched from some A. elberti N'tui Ngorro Road
eggs, that came from wild parents, had a single male with
only a dash of yellow on his anal fin. the next generation
males have more yellow, so is this a desirable characteristic
or a sport? i've read that the yellow edged fins are the norm,
but for a lesser known location where would i go to find out
what is 'normal' for a given location?
