Re: [Killietalk] green water indoors (for lee harper) (nick vanikiotis)
Heya,
In my previous message I forgot to say I also use a heater in the
green water tank. I keep it at 24-26C. That's to keep the goldfish
metabolism high so I can feed them 3-4 times in the day (Iittle
amounts). You can also bring it up to 28C and hatch BBS in the
greenwater container (in a seperate bottle of course), that's what I
do to save space and energy.
Nick I'm currently working with A. Mento, P. Annulatus, C. Volcanum,
C. Splendopleure, R. Agilae (2), R. Xiphidius. A few more species in
planted tanks, not studying them though.
I use green water in all the fry containers, maybe a cup every 2 days
except Rivulus. With Rivulus, I only use it with care because I
noticed they're a bit sensitive.
I also keep daphnia (moina) in all my fry containers.
Cheers
