This from the archives: you have to keep googling,
Hi Yall,
As Gary mentioned Aphyosemion. sp. "bitter" is indeed escherichii. However
as Gary also mentioned there is another fish termed sp. "bitter" and
indeed
it is a form of Fp. mirabilis and it is an incredible mirabilis strain.
WOW!!
The confusion that Gary is referring to developed when the Fp. sp.
"bitter"
was accidentally placed in the MesoA. class at the Wako show in November.
I personally investigated all of this to find out what was going on.
There are several breeders working with Escherichii right now. Especially,
in the northern midwest. I would almost guarantee you will see them at the
AKA national in the box sales etc.
If you try Ples. bitteri GOOD LUCK!! They are very difficult to keep. The
fry I would have to say on a personal observation are the smallest of ANY
killie. 2 weeks old before they could take down so much as a newly hatched
BBS. I found sexual maturity to be hit at about 4 months old.
God Bless, Lee Van Hyfte
So, I'm getting a group of Aphyosemion sp. Bitter from the ChiKA proxy
bidding, and I was wondering if anyone could give me any info or care
specifications on them. There isn't a single picture or bit of
information
about them online.
