It's a tower of gatoraide containers with lava rock in it.? One of the water lines runs water down through the tower to act as a wet dry filter.? The water spills back into the resevoir over a sponge filter.? They are outside on the shady side of my house.? So at this time of year the water is around 50 and in the summer it wouldn't get above 65 I would say.? I think what make it work is the worms are always bathed in running well oxygenated water, note that the worms are well under water so there is no need for them to be able to reach the surface.? If you can find a copy of the JAKA article, Volume 39, numbers?3 & 4, David Snell has lots of diagrams and photos of how he did it inside his fishroom.? I just adapted it to work outside for me.? Hope this helps.
