Payment through Paypal would solve that problem.  Put a time limit on it and if not paid within 15 minutes, the item is reauctioned or something along those lines.

Now a proxy bid with the money up front would work. The electronics i dont think
is fast enough. A good auctioneer will do 100 items an hour??
