Re: [Killietalk] Gnat. zonatus
Lee,
Sorry to hear about your parents flooded home.
At times we think fish and fishy stuff is pretty important. And then life comes along and reminds us that fish are just a hobby and family and friends are important.

Hi Bobby,
I lost the zonatus a while back. spread myself to thin on them then the breeders croaked off on me. Certainly MY ERROR!!
Anything I did have was lost after the iowa floods. When trying to save your parents home there is ZERO time for fish cares. I lost pretty much everything. I was putting in 60hours a week out there hauling slop and mud and 36 hours over the weekends at work for about 6 weeks straight.
I have a few favorites now and just to heartbroke to do too much with anything more. Mostly hard to kill stuff. Riv. homiae, Riv. cryptocallus, A. striatum, Ep. lamottei, Apl. lineatus and some elberti to keep life interesting. THat and a lonely S. schmitti male. PRETTY SAD state of affairs right now.
The photo included is of my parents home. Some of you Guys might remember Dick Van Hyfte Founder of the AGA fromerly AAGA. It was crushing to throw out 30 years of mushy Jakas and a massive collection of fish literature and equipment. Not to mention all of the other nastalgia. I'd point out which home it was but it will suffice to say the entire town was under water!!!!! Fortunately, I had his original hard copy of his Killie book here. SO MANY UNREPLACEABLES!!!!
