They are used a lot as a bioassay animal. That is a great idea!

Toss some greenwater in too. ;)

Using rosey reds is an interesting idea. However then you have to bleach the darn thing or treat it for parasites anyway.

Tossing in a little sodium thiosulfate or taking a squirt with one of the water conditioners won at a club raffle should take care of any residual bleach.

If you don't have Daphnia available, take an extra killie male or other extra "odd number", if you want a test animal. I have a small misshapen male, which is so ugly, the male lineatus would not eat him when I tried to cull it that way.
