Re: [Killietalk] have pdf of Zimmer article on species

Carl Zimmer is an excellent science writer, and I always try to read all of
his work. He has a knack for making difficult topics interesting. Anyone who
has not read his book, Parasite Rex, should try it. In it he discusses
Kevin Lafferty's work on the life cycle of a parasitic fluke and a California
killifish. The "control" that the parasite is able to exert on the fish, which
in turn increases the dissemination to the fluke is amazing. I studied
parasitology in undergrad, and most of these relationships were unknown then.
