Unless TSA has changed their policies lately, they have never cared about fish in a checked suitcase.? For years I've just put the fish in a styro and then the styro in a large garbage bag and in the suitcase.? I never tell the airlines what is in there and TSA has never said anything.? Russ wishing I could have gone to the national this year.

All you folks who went to the convention, 
How are you getting fish home.  
Can't carry them on anymore, unless that is, they are in a container
that is clearly marked as having less than three oz. of water.  
Can't put them in your checked luggage, because it will be removed by
TSA.  At least that's what a fish store in LA told me when I wanted to
buy something to fly home with the next day.

Four days, 1100 photos, 4800 miles, and many $$ later, eight new fish  
are swimming in my tanks, I have a new collection of killie books to  
study, I have caught up with many of my fellow killinuts, I am more  
inspired than ever to go have a collecting adventure of my own, and I  
am excited about my fish all over again.  This year's goal is to bring  
some fish with me to Portland in 2009.  The peat is wetting and  
getting ready to go....
