The female does have the "tell tale stripe", and I would say the  male is alittle over and inch and a half, but maybe his colors just  haven't come inall the way.  I haven't seen any eggs or fry, so I'm  assuming they have alittle way to go...

Colors on the male are subtle, not flashy.
