Re: [Killietalk] Killietalk Digest,Blackworms in your sand

I use blackworms to begin cycling new tanks and deliberately establish them in most of my tanks. I typically use less than 1/4 inch of fine sand in my tanks and primarily raise Discus, Apistogramma spp, small L-### Plecos, fancy shrimp and Dwarf Cory spp, C. hastatus and C. habrosus.

The blackworms provide a continuously available source of food and help consume uneaten fish food. I think they add to the ecological complexity of an aquarium that is more beneficial than not.
