[Killietalk] N&R

I've been searching the web for information on CITES for my Friday meeting at the convention, and to my admitted rather limited knowledge, we better work at keeping the fish we now have. They delayed fishes on the list to gain more information before listing them, so at present THERE ARE NO FISHES ON THE CITES LIST. However, once they put endangered or threatened species on that list, if they use the same regulations currently in force with other animals and flora, you will have to be registered as a captive breeder and can only trade, buy or sell with other registered captive breeders. This all has to be documented. If this proves true, no CITES listed fishes can be entered in box sales, the fish sale room or other places where they may be obtained by undocumented buyers. I hope I have misread their intent on this!
