My pond is a 55 gal. preformed liner in the shape of a lima bean. It is in a 
shady corner of my yard near the house. it does not get a lot of sun light. 
That is why I only put water hyacinths in the pond during the summer. I also 
have one hardy water lily in the pond that does ok in the shady location. 
They all do well even with the low amount of sunlight.
