Ignorance is bliss)

Rich,

I have 2 adjustable heat sealers, a big one and one barely big enough to
do the 4" bags. I always haul the small one with me to places like WCW
and Convention.

Since this is the ONLY way I have found to get a reliable seal on
breather bags, it is a shame the sealer mostly sits idle in my hotel
room and weighs down my luggage on these trips. Please contact me if you
(or others) want to borrow it in Portland or Syracuse. I usually do not
pack my fish on the Sunday of the auction, so maybe we should designate
my hotel room as a packing station for that day?

I pack my own fish on Mon. as I live so far in the boonies that I
usually have multiple flights and a looong drive to get home. [My sealer
will only be available Mon. when I have finished with it, usually about
time to leave for the airport.. :-) ]

Unfortunately, both methods leave the bag like a golf ball, which isn't
the best shape for gas transit. Heat sealing allows flatter pillow
shape, which has more surface per cc of water, yet lets the fish stretch
out in even less water.

PS. For those needing a good, inexpensive Impulse Sealer, check out the
15 1/2 inch one at www.harborfreight.com. ($35.99 in my latest catalog.)
1-8 sec timer, and works great on breathers. Every club should buy one
(or more?)! [Way too heavy to be comfortable in baggage, tho.]
