Re: [Killietalk] Killietalk Digest, Vol 55, Issue 96
I witnessed that same phenomenon 1-2 yrs ago: I actually saw many of my
aphyosemions piled up on the overflow outlet stacked one on top of the
other, out of the water!!! I cudda swore I posted that recount here on KT
...anyway, whatever the cause, I later witnessed gill damage in a few
specimens...just something to look out for following this mysterious tap
water thing
KC (oh BTW, 5 lampeye fry hatched enroute, the rest of the eggs look
viable!!! BIG Thanks!!!)

I like Novaqua.... but I like Prime better. Prime is a very potent product,
so you only have to use a few drops. It's more expennsive, but cheaper in
the long run since the bottle lasts so long. It also is available by the
gallon.
Usually our tap water is good here (so good that it doesn't even kill
Daphnia).... but lately we've been having problems. After a large water
change certain fish will swim to the top and try to jump out!! This is
really bad with Aphy striatum (my last male went belly up for a few hours)
and even worse with Fp scheeli, who actually climb up and sit on top of
floating ketapang leaves...... odd, since these are 2 very common and "easy"
species. In any case, the Prime takes care of that problem 100%.
