Re: [Killietalk] Black worms

I have very hard well water (about 650ppm) and I find that if I rinse the
black worms with the well water and then use that water to keep them in, by
the next day the worms have fouled the water to the extent that they must be
cleaned again, but if I rinse the worms in the same well water but then
refill the container with DI water, I can keep the worms for at least 5
days. By then, I usually reclean them, but only because I think it is a
good idea not to keep them too long without a water change since the water
still seems pretty clean.

Obviously the harder water has some quite bad effect. I would be interested
what, if anything, any of you have experienced with keeping your worms in
either hard water, DI water, and soft tap water.
