Re: [Killietalk] Fp. oeseri

Clifford,
As THE authority on cold fish-rooms <LOL>, I got oeseri, and they are
fortunately on the short list of killies that like it a lil
warmer...personally I don't see any/many eggs under 70ish, but perhaps with
luck your mileage may vary

Hi Pablo,

I received a reverse trio (two males and a female) of these a few months
ago from someone in my local aquarium society. As a killie beginner, I
would agree these seem like an easy one.

I keep mine in a bare 10 gallon with a sponge filter and some java moss
and water sprite under medium lighting in Seattle tap (or collected
rainwater) with no heat. Room temps fluctuate from around 68-63F. I feed
them mostly crushed bulk pellets (trout chow), but do supplement with
gammarus, daphnia, red worms, etc, if I'm spending time with the fish and
not feeling too lazy...they don't seem picky.

I think there are 7 or more of them in the tank now, but I would assume
most of the eggs are being picked off by the snails in the tank, or that
the adults are too quick for most of the fry. I'm hoping when a few more
of the females mature they'll pick up some speed...

Best of luck!

Cliff
